AMAZON January 15, 2007 Patrizia "All The Things You Are"(Patrizia 937 750 020- 0) A mature voice and forceful singing style mark this debut by Patrizia, a lady who has been around for a while but who until now has not recorded. Ably supported by Richard James, piano, Bob Magnusson, bass, Ronnie Stewart, drums, and tenor saxophonist Daniel Jackson, Patrizia swings through a selection of standards with considerable aplomb. The songs Patrizia has chosen include 'It Shouldn't Happen To A Dream', 'An Occasional Man', 'Lover Man', 'Blue Skies' and, of course, the title song of the CD. Nice, earthy interpretations and a sense that a very good time was being had by all make this a lively introduction to this singer. (Buy this now ...) by Bruce Crowther
eJAZZ NEWS JANUARY 16, 2007
This is a nice easy going album. Patrizia pitches out correctly and sings the songs as they should be, with no undue histrionics. " I Could Write A Book" is cooly done with solid accompaniment. Patrizia sings this number "pretty for the people' as Mr. Prima used to say. Comping joyfully is Richard James at the piano. Daniel Jackson on tenor works the changes from bottom to top in fine fashion. "Blue Skies" A clear and clean tone is the bottom line for this oldie and Patrizia gets after it in no uncertain terms with both clarity and style. It is a pleasure to hear vocals and musicianship with no clutter and fuss, and in a word, a ear pleasing experience. 5 Stars By John Gilbert ejazznews, January 16, 2007 *****

Of Patrizia's "All the Things You Are," W. Royal Stokes says -- Straight Ahead Jazz and the Great American Songbook are very alive and well in the able hands -- and wonderfully expressive voice -- of Patrizia, who has been appropriately dubbed The Sultry Lady of Jazz. Her splendid debut album of standards, All the Things You Are, captures the essence of such classics as "Blue Skies," "Willow Weep for Me," and the CD's title tune. Worth the price of admission is the set-concluding "Send in the Clowns," the emotional depths of which Patrizia plumbs to a fare-thee-well. This CD is more than a winner – it is a treasure !
